This saves an absurd amount of working time – and that’s the essence of Trivore eIAM

“I need to get access to five systems for a new employee. And the credentials of the guy who left yesterday are still working.” Sound familiar?

In today’s organisations, access management is often just this: constant manual work and small but critical tasks that can easily get lost in the shuffle. But what if all this could be automated?

In this blog, developer Jarno Kiesiläinen and chief architect Sebastian Bröckl talk about the features of Trivore eIAM that make identity and access management a strategic asset for its users.

Driven by events – automation does the work for you

“The digital environment has changed significantly in recent years. The number of systems is constantly growing, and so are the challenges of managing them. That’s why we developed a system that takes advantage of an event-driven architecture’s flexibility,” says Sebastian.

“Event-driven architecture means that the system reacts in real time to changes in the organisation,” Jarno explains. “When an employee starts, changes roles, or terminates their employment, the system automatically orchestrates all the necessary changes in different systems.”

This means that managing staff changes no longer requires manual intervention in dozens of systems. Everything is done automatically – granting rights to new employees, changing access rights when changing roles, and deleting expired IDs at the end of employment. This reduces errors, improves security, and saves valuable resources. In addition, the event-driven architecture enables real-time data transfer, ensuring that the organisation’s systems work seamlessly together without unnecessary delays.

Get your licences handled – and your costs under control

In many organisations, managing Microsoft licences is a challenge, as employees’ licence needs are constantly changing. Trivore eIAM provides a solution by automating the entire licence management process.

“This allows staff changes to be automatically applied to licence management without manual work,” Jarno explains.

Automation not only saves time, but also reduces the need for additional licences and the associated costs. Organisations often pay for licences that are not used – for example, for employees who have left the organisation. Trivore eIAM ensures that licences are issued and cancelled exactly as needed. This allows organisations to optimise their costs and ensure that budgets are allocated correctly.

Automating licence management also improves control: the system provides a clear view of the organisation’s licence usage and reporting, which facilitates forecasting and decision-making. This is particularly valuable for organisations with large IT infrastructures and complex licensing requirements.

Integrations connect – information always up to date

Sebastian stresses the importance of integration: “Today’s organisations typically have dozens of systems – HR, ERP, customer management, project tools – all of which need up-to-date user data. Our system acts as a hub between them, ensuring that data remains accurate and in sync.”

Integrations allow Trivore eIAM to combine different systems to work as a single entity. This makes, for example, new employee on-boarding and role changes smooth. When a new employee is added to the HR system, Trivore eIAM automatically takes care of assigning access rights to all necessary systems – from email to project tools. The same applies in the opposite situation: when an employee’s data is deleted, the necessary changes are made to all systems.

In addition, integrations provide flexibility for companies introducing new systems. For example, the implementation of a new HR system can be done without manual data transfer, as Trivore eIAM takes care of data synchronisation automatically. This keeps systems up to date and allows changes to be implemented efficiently and securely.

Intelligent lifecycle of access rights

Access rights lifecycle management is a key strength of Trivore eIAM. Jarno describes how the system adapts to changing employee situations:

“When someone goes on extended leave, for example parental leave, the system can automatically cut off their rights to the target systems and restore them at the end of the leave period.”

“Just the beginning and the end are not enough. The system is also constantly adapting to changes within the organisation, such as a change of role. This reduces errors and frees up IT resources to focus on strategic projects,” Sebastian continues.

The system also brings clarity to access rights. With Trivore eIAM, organisations can get a real-time view of who has access to different systems and why. This increases security and ensures that access rights always meet the needs of the organisation.

Modern user interface and scalability

User-friendliness has been at the heart of Trivore’s design. This is how Sebastian describes the design of the user interface:

“We wanted to make the interface intuitive. It adapts to the organisation’s existing systems and provides a clear view of access management. For users, this means a smooth user experience, and for administrators, a tool that makes it easy to manage.”

“With Trivore eIAM, organisations can save a ridiculous amount of working time, especially if they have a large number of employees and also external resources in different locations. The scalability of the system also makes it suitable for both small and large companies,” Jarno continues.

Trivore eIAM also supports a Zero Trust architecture (a security model where each user and device is authenticated separately at each use), which significantly increases security.

“In this architecture, each access request is validated separately, and strong authentication is a seamless part of the system,” says Sebastian. “This is critical in today’s world of cyber threats, where security is a strategic competitive advantage.”

Security and compliance are key

Sebastian stresses the importance of security: “Centralised access management improves security because all changes are documented. This is particularly important for audits and compliance, such as GDPR and NIS2.”

Jarno adds that the system supports organisations in keeping up to date with security and data protection requirements. “Organisations can verify who has access to what and when, without the IT department having to spend time on manual monitoring.”

Trivore eIAM also makes auditing processes more straightforward. All changes to access rights are automatically recorded, and reporting can be tailored to the exact needs of the organisation.

Putting the customer’s benefit first

From the conversation, it is clear that Jarno and Sebastian are proud of Trivore eIAM and how it has been developed to truly meet customer needs. Identity management is no longer just a technical necessity, but a strategic tool to save costs, increase efficiency and improve security. Its scalability makes it equally suitable for small businesses and large organisations.

“At the end of the day, it’s about making organisations’ everyday digital life smoother,” Sebastian sums up. “When identity management works well, you don’t even notice it – it just does everything in the background as it should.”

And perhaps that is the strength of Trivore eIAM: it is useful – in fact, essential – but mostly invisible. With the system doing things for you, you can focus on what really drives your organisation forward.
