AI agents are becoming users in our organisations. They authenticate, hold permissions and act with delegated authority. As their number, speed and autonomy increase, organisations face a new identity governance challenge: how do you keep these identities under control?
But there is another question that deserves just as much attention: who controls the identity layer that controls the agents?
This is the question Trivore will bring to Identity & Access Management Denmark in Copenhagen on 27 October 2026.
Who holds the keys?
At IAM Denmark, Kari Mattsson, Founder, Fellow and CISO at Trivore, will take the stage with the session: Who holds the keys? AI agents, identity and European sovereignty. The session looks beyond the question of how AI agents should be governed and turns attention to the infrastructure governing them.
Where does your identity layer run? Who operates it? Who controls the signing keys? And under which country’s laws does the provider operate?
These questions become increasingly important when AI agents depend on the identity layer not only to authenticate, but to carry out automated processes at scale.
With more than two decades of experience in building identity infrastructure in the Nordics, Kari will explore what digital sovereignty means in practice for identity and access management. He will also discuss what European organisations should consider when assessing their own identity infrastructure.
